Ruchi Dhona is a Woman on a Mission!
She quit corporate life to set up libraries in the mountains.
An avid reader, she lives for ‘aha’ moments – when a child finds a book that changes their entire world.
She is also an aspiring artist; she’s training in Kathak, loves storytelling and is currently dabbling in organic farming.

Jogesh Grover
Co-Trustee & Advisor
Jogesh Grover is the CEO of Retasaan Management Solutions Pvt. Ltd, an organization specializing in outsourcing of total document servicing. They handle physical and digital archiving, and virtual filing. Mr. Grover is alumnus of St. Xavier’s School, Kolkata and Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi and has over four decades of professional experience in diverse industries.
Ruchira Raj
Board Advisor
With ~20 years of big corporate work experience spanning industries and functions, Ruchira’s passion lies in unblocking, enabling and maximising people and businesses. Her rich lived experience across India and Singapore, leading diverse teams and collaborating with cross functional stakeholders across organisational levels globally fuels her as she pays it forward as an Advisor / Consultant / Mentor / Coach, and volunteers to support SDG5. She enjoys leisure hiking and is an aspiring urban farmer.
Amit Dhanuka
Board Advisor
With over 25 years of experience in the Food Industry, Amit Dhanuka leads Kejriwal Bee Care India Pvt Ltd, one of India’s largest exporters of premium raw honey, as their CEO.
Beyond his work, he is extremely passionate about exploring the remotest areas of India and the rich food, having scaled the heights of Leh-Ladakh and Spiti Valley several times.
Abhimanyu Harlalka
Board Advisor
Abhimanyu is a Risk Expert with McKinsey & Company. He works with FIs from across the globe helping them solve their risk-related problems and support them in launching new age financial solutions. Abhimanyu is an alumnus of St. Xavier’s College Kolkata and enjoys varied sporting activity during his leisure time.
Meet Our Manali Team
Chander Kanta
Librarian
Chander Kanta has completed her B.Ed. degree from Himachal Pradesh University. She also has a certification in Library Science (vocational course) from Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board.
When she is not doting on her son, she loves reading comics and gardening. Her garden blooms are truly envy-worthy!
Simran
Librarian
A resident of Village Jagatsukh, Simran has completed B.Com. from Government Degree College (Haripur, Manali) and MLib from Central University of Himachal Pradesh. She also holds a diploma in computer application.
She joined our Manali library in April 2025 and within a short period of time she has won us over with her quiet thoughtfulness.
